The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health’s (CAMH) 24/7 emergency department located at 250 College Street, Toronto might be an option to consider but please check for availability during the pandemic at 1 800 463-2338. For urgent situations, options to consider include: contacting your primary care physician (during his/her availability hours), contacting Telehealth Ontario (1-866-797-0000), or contacting Distress Centres of Toronto (416.408.4357). There is also Talk4Healing.com for Ontario Indigenous women at 1-855-554-HEAL, Gerstein Centre (416.929.5200), Seniors Safety Line (1-866-299-1011) (if applicable), Assaulted Women’s Helpline (if applicable) (416.863.0511 ), Canada Suicide Prevention Service (1-833-456-4566), and 1 -866-887-0015 (for male survivors of abuse). From 8pm to midnight there is the “Warm Line” (peer support) offered by Progress Place: www.warmline.ca (online chat), text 647-557-5882, or call 416-960-WARM (9276).
